My dad's having open heart surgery right now. And I learned from a Facebook post. I would laugh if it didn't hurt.
That's ok. I told him a long time ago that I was the matriarch now. Not anyone else. I'm going to show the world I can do this. Alone or otherwise.
Don't underestimate the person who held your hand through cancer surgery.
